This past year has certainly been an interesting year. It has been challenging for many, and for some, downright painful. As difficult and uncomfortable as 2020 has been it has also been full of opportunities to learn and to grow... its been a catalyst for introspection and personal growth as well as a time for letting go of certain priorities and ideas that seem, well, less important these days...one of my favorite sayings is "no mud, no lotus": "Most people are afraid of suffering. But suffering is a kind of mud to help the lotus flower of happiness grow. There can be no lotus flower without the mud." THICH NHAT HANH This quote seems quite fitting for this very gripping time. We never grow and become stronger from the "easy" stuff...its the challenges that propel us forward. The beginner class series introduces the history of yoga, fundamental principles of alignment, and breath work. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Goddess Circle ... begins this week This sacred and confidential time is devoted to women and the wisdom of the Divine Feminine within each. It will include guided meditation, dancing, pranayama, journaling and reiki. This circle is inclusive to ALL women (sorry fellas) and lovingly welcomes those who identify as. Tuesdays at 7:15PM . . . Beginner's Foundations of Yoga We take the intimidation factor out of learning the basics of yoga in a laid back atmosphere. We will touch on asanas (poses), pranayama (breathwork) and the philosophy behind yoga in this 3 part series. This series is perfect for beginners or for anyone wanting to brush up on their current practice. 3 Wednesdays in a row beginning on December 2, 9 &16 @ 7:15PM. . . . Kid's Holiday Yoga & Mindfulness Camp During this fun Kid's Camp students will participate in breathwork, mindfulness activities, games, crafts and yoga poses.
